Hey There!

We are so glad you are here. The Heirloom Lady in was established 2016, as a place for you to connect to your roots. We believe that the foundations for life, born of our ancestors and nourished by simplicity, should be invited back to modern times. In recent years, we’ve come to realize that we’ve been overcomplicating every facet of life and have been paying the price with our bodies, minds and spirits. Join us as we journey to get in touch with the good stuff, the simple lifestyle handed down to us from those we love most.

Together we’ll learn to garden, preserve food, practice whole living, hunt, fish, forage and feast! Knowledge is our greatest family heirloom and we can’t wait to share it with you as we learn, grow and thrive. But in the meantime, meet the team:

Abby is the Founder of The Heirloom Lady. She was raised in a farming community in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Growing up, she spent a lot of time with her grandparents learning to grow a garden, to care for animals, to respect Mother Nature along with how to cook, fish, and how to tell a great story. As a child, if she wasn’t on her horse or making au natural mud masks with her sister, Abby could be found roaming the forest with her dog or hiding on the porch with a good book. Abby lives to garden, work with her hands and share her knowledge with others. She loves cooking, entertaining, and making friends. When she’s not working in the garden or working on the blog, she can be found perusing antique shops, sipping coffee in a book store, or fishing with her husband, Justin.

Justin is the Co-Founder of The Heirloom Lady and Digital Media Guy Extraordinaire. Justin grew up in a family full of outdoorsmen. Instead of hunting with his dad and brother, Justin’s sense of adventure lead to him other interests and hobbies. He was in a youth bowling league, lined danced with his mama, and built forts in the woods with his friends on the weekends. Eventually, his bike was traded in for a motorcycle and he began to learn guitar, made short-films for fun, and he began honing in on his entrepreneurial heart. While he has always loved camping, fishing, and enjoying nature, hunting didn’t find its place in his life again until a few years ago. Now, as an avid outdoorsman, Justin has focused his attention on nature conservation and education, as well as, self-sustainability and even natural living.
